Wood Carving Process Post

This week I dug away a little more into the background of the piece and added some more depth. I also began to round out the stomach of the bird by carving away some of those harsh lines. Next week I hope to continue giving the bird a 3D effect by rounding it out and I am also considering carving away some of the wings (from the pencil lines) to give the bird some more realistic proportions.
