Reaction to Lunchtime Lecture - Dan Kanach

The thing I took away the most from this lecture was how much Kanach seemed to enjoy his work. I often wonder whether using your hobby as a form of income would potentially take away the joy from it, but Kanach emphasized that with each commission, even the boring ones, he manages to insert little things he enjoys. For example, I remeber how with one particular commisision he managed to have some fun by playing with the characters rotation and making it spin in fun ways.

Additionally, Kanach emphasized the importance of managing your time correctly on top of billing appropriately. He revealed that at the begining of one's careers your likely to unercharge, but after a while of working, it's important to charge according to how much time you spend on a project.
