Progress Post

For this project I chose to focus on working quicker with the goal of making more pieces of work, as opposed to my oil paintings which took a lengthy amount of time and yielded a small body of work. By doing this I hope to flesh out a direction to go in.

In order to work quicker, I chose to work with charcoal and paper. For these pieces I am focusing on what I find interesting and fun to make and what I gravitate towards. That seems to be birds, so I chose to use that as my subject.

Going forward, I will finish up this piece by adding more details to the wings, and hopefully I will be able to make a few more pieces before I run out of time. I also hope to experiment with water and charcoal going forward.
