Figure Drawing with Tommy Van Aulken

Reflection: This year we continued to practice gesture drawing and emphasize the importance of searching lines and drawing what you see as opposed to what you know. I feel like over time my gestures moved away from symbols and more towards the exaggerated movement of the figure. This year we also learned about value more in depth, and the importance of starting with amedium value on the paper so you can both substract and add value.
