Art Pieces:

I really like Daniel Merriam's work and the whimsical nature of it, I have never not been intrigued by a peice. I really love his use of color, and the way in which each piece seems to exhibit it's own color scheme. Each piece is so unique, yet I think Merriam's style is still able to shine through in each one.

I think the 2D nature of many of his objects is extremely interesting, yet I also think is still able to achieve a sense of depth with the use of layering and more detail in objects closer to the viewer, a technique I think may be applicable in my own work.
